So much so, that we now need two more experienced business solicitors to take a leading role in helping to grow our business.
Commercial Lawyer Job With A Difference
We’re on the lookout for two special lawyers; you are someone who, like us, has entrepreneurial flair and isn’t afraid to break free from the traditional law firm model. An ambitious lawyer looking for an alternative to partnership. Someone who would jump at the opportunity to take control of their own career and play a pivotal role in growing our business. Someone whose favourite colour is quite possibly orange (and definitely not grey). Of course, we’re looking for technical expertise and commercial nous too.
You’ll be an experienced and capable commercial property or corporate solicitor (at least 2yrs PQE) who’s familiar with the transactional side of buying and selling businesses, whether it be a straightforward asset sale or a share purchase. From guiding clients through due diligence to drafting and negotiating a watertight sales contract, you’ll be passionate about helping people achieve their business goals, whether they’re a serial entrepreneur, a first-time business buyer or a corporate consolidator. Ideally, you’ll have some knowledge and experience of commercial property leases, too.
What we’d like you to do…
We’re looking for someone with the energy and ambition to manage their own caseload whilst supporting and helping to grow a small team of solicitors acting for business buyers and sellers across the UK. You’ll be a natural team leader with some people management experience and a passion for getting the best out of others. You’ll also be an excellent communicator who enjoys business development and building relationships with clients, broker introducers, accountants and third parties
Salary
In return, we can offer you a friendly, informal and flexible working environment and a package that rewards results, rather than the hours you spend at your desk: a basic salary of £30,000-£55,000 pa (dependent on experience) plus a generous share of the profits for each transaction you are involved in. The only ceiling is your own passion, drive and commitment.
Location
Our office is based on an Exeter business park, backing onto parkland with easy access to the M5 and A30, and to the Moors and Devon coast.
